S3-Parts ACU National Trials Championship 2011

As we are proud sponsors of the ‘S3 Parts Clubman ACU Trials Championship’ I agreed to give £400 (£200 each) of free S3 goodies to the overall winners of the main class and the over 40 Class.

Dan Thorpe won the main class but I said the goodies could not be won by an ‘importer supported rider’ which Dan obviously is so ive given Ricky Wiggins the goodies for the main class and Mark Hicken the goodies for the O/40 class.

The Wallace Cup trial which takes place on the 20th February 2011 opens this very competitive championship starting at the Horse and Harrow public house at West Hagbourne with the first rider away at 09.30am. The course is approximately 25 mile and the club has 105 entries already with a really good bagful of riders competing.

S3 will support the UK-KTM Team KORR for 2011

KTM Off Road Racing is ready to race in 2011 and in just one weeks time will
arrive at the first race of the season the Eddy Extreme Enduro with Greg Evans
and Jonny Walker. There hasn't really been an off season for KORR, everyday
since the last BEC we have been preparing for the up coming season, finely tuning
the new 2011 KTM models to compliment each rider.

KORR takes very seriously challenges from all other teams in the paddock and we
are never one to sit still, we have new bikes, additional sponsors and we introduce
and develop new talent.
So firstly we will debut KTM's new XCF range, 250 and 350Fs with all new chassis
and fuel injection for Daryl Bolter and Greg Evans, but we don't forget our 2
strokes, how can we ? Julian is an absolute master at tuning 2 stroke motors and
takes his nickname of Smooth from making engines with just those characteristics,
maximum power with maximum control.
Young guns Jonny Walker and James Giddings will pilot the 300 and 125EXC KTM
2 strokes, Greg Evans will also have his moments on a 250EXC at certain extreme
events.

We continue with many of our sponsors again, preferring to stay with what we know
works best, but after a very successful 2010 season we have been fortunate to
gain attention of a few more. So for 2011 we welcome Motorex from Switzerland
the officially approved oil of KTM, Tough Plant Hire run by Enduro enthusiast Dave
Coles joins us as a sponsor and team supported Veteran rider, another off-road
enthusiast brings his company Symprove to the camp which will be helping us with
additives to improve our diet.

The whole team will be looking very smart as Acerbis becomes our main clothing
and plastic sponsor with Scott Goggles keeping things clear, Kriega will take care
of drink systems and bum bags, Rekluse will help with high quality clutch
components and S3 Racing supply special cylinder heads for our 2 strokes.
Its going to be a very interesting season, the team will compete in all major UK
races as well as the European championship and certain international extreme

¿Gripaje, desgaste, el cilindro se ha roto?Reparamos cilindros de moto, quad, etc. En S3, disponemos de una línea completa de fabricación de cilindros, que ponemos a disposición de nuestros clientes, con la tecnología de última generación de recubrimiento del cilindro en aluminio “ Nickel Silicon Carbide” S3CYL®, para la reparación de cilindros de motores 2 tiempos o 4 tiempos. Cuando recibimos su cilindro en nuestra planta S3, los mismos se graban a fin de ser identificados, luego se lavan, y a continuación mediante un proceso químico se eliminan los restos de “ nickasil”, una vez los cilindros están “límpios”, nuestros especialistas controlan detenidamente cada cilindro, para analizar el estado del mismo y la geometría de la estructura del cilindro (aluminio). Si la estructura del cilindro está dañada, nuestro taller de soldadura reconstruye la zona en cuestión, aportándole el material que falta. Soldados los cilindros, pasan entonces por un centro de mecanización con el fin de eliminar el exceso de metal, luego se les rectifica para volver a dar al cilindro su perfecta geometría cylíndrica, todo esto antes de la aplicación del nuevo Nicasil. Los cilindros entonces se recubren de una nueva capa de “nickel silicon carbide”, luego son rectificados, mediante una de nuestras máquinas “gehring” con el fin de crear la superficie asimétrica “diamond plateau honing”, que va a asegurar durante toda la “nueva vida” del cilindro una perfecta lubricación y una fricción mínima de los aros sobre las paredes del cilindro. El cilindro está listo para el montaje… Calidad y acabado impecable. Posibilidad de suministrar pistones y juntas.
